Botanical Garden

Kirstenbosch Garden encompasses 530ha and is located on the Southern Side of Table Mountain. It is known as one of the world’s best botanical garden. 

 

Birdwatching

More than 300 different bird species are home in the Cape Region. A large amount thereof live in the nature reserve next to Cape Oasis. Take a stroll and watch flamingos, pelican, sundbirds and many more.

Whalewatching

The best time to do whale watching is from July to mid of November. If you are lucky, you can see them directly at Table View Beach. However, the best location is Hermanus which is a about a 2h scenic drive.

 

What-ever-is-in-the-water-watching

 

Watch out for dolphins and seals along the beautiful beaches close to Cape Oasis. Sharks are rather to be found in False Bay. More details about the statistical probability to be attacked by sharks can be found here.

In addition, you can see pinguins close to Simons Town. A must to see!
